Meet The Founder
Meet Dr. Shruthi Lakshmana
I believe beauty is inherent, and it shines brightest through a confident smile. My mission is to help my patients discover and share their true beauty through healthy, confident smiles.
Education/Experience
Dr. Shruthi Lakshmana began her dental journey in India, earning her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from JSS Dental College in Mysuru.
Driven by a passion for advanced education and excellence in patient care, she moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) with honors from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. During her training, she was recognized with the prestigious Dr. Oscar Sotsky Award for Excellence in Orthodontics.
Dr. Shruthi went on to complete her specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Nova Southeastern University, where she also earned a Master of Science in Dentistry (MS). She has achieved board certification in Orthodontics — a rigorous process that requires presenting and defending the treatment of complex cases before a panel of peers and experts in the field. As such, she is recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Shruthi stays current with the latest advances in orthodontics by attending annual meetings of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the Southern Society of Orthodontists (SSO), and the Florida Association of Orthodontists (FAO), which she considers invaluable sources of knowledge and innovation. Her advanced education and clinical expertise allow her to deliver comprehensive, personalized orthodontic care that beautifully balances aesthetics, function, and long-term oral health for every patient she serves.
Life Outside Practice
“When I’m not in the office or attending orthodontic meetings, I spend most of my time with my family. My husband and I are proud parents of two girls, and we love being involved in their activities — from driving them to practices, to exploring theme parks, trying new restaurants, or traveling together. My daughters and I also share a love for music and dance, and taking Carnatic vocal lessons as a family has become a fun and meaningful way for us to connect.
Being a mom has truly shaped the way I practice orthodontics. I understand the busy schedules, high expectations, and unique challenges kids face today, which allows me to connect with my patients on a deeper level and provide care with greater empathy.
Outside of family life, I enjoy staying active through strength training, Pilates, and swimming — all of which keep me energized for both my patients and my family. Giving back is also very important to me. I volunteer regularly at my daughters’ schools, participate in community events, and contribute to the profession by serving on the SSO Bylaws Committee and as a peer reviewer for the Cleft Lip and Palate journal. These experiences keep me grounded, grateful, and excited to build lasting connections with the families I serve.”

We’ve made check-in quick and easy, so you can spend less time with paperwork and more time focusing on your smile.
Beyond comfort, our state-of-the-art technology ensures precision and a modern experience. We feature advanced Carestream 9600 cone beam CT imaging capable of airway analysis, the industry-leading iTero Lumina intraoral scanner, and ultra-comfortable Adec dental chairs. Together, these tools help us provide accurate diagnoses, efficient treatment planning, and a seamless experience for every patient.
Our state-of-the-art consultation room is where the magic begins — from understanding your vision and goals to creating customized treatment plans tailored just for you. While we don’t take 3D CBCT images routinely, we recommend them when they are truly necessary for diagnosis and treatment planning. In addition, our office is equipped to capture periapical and bitewing X-rays, along with traditional orthodontic cephalometric and panoramic images, ensuring we have the right tools to provide precise, personalized care.

Your first visit is all about you. When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by our friendly team and meet Dr. Lakshmana, who will take the time to get to know you, understand your goals, and listen to any questions or concerns you may have.
We’ll then take a few diagnostic records — including photos, digital scans, and X-rays — so we can get a complete picture of your oral health and smile.
